We value computing greatly within our school and provide the children with a range of experiences to aid their learning. As part of this, we want our children to Be SMART online and become ‘Safe Cyber Citizens’. The Internet is an invaluable resource which enables us to gain knowledge, develop skills, create relationships and have fun. However, in an ever-changing world, it is vital that children are provided with the knowledge and skills to use the Internet safely and appropriately.

At Dubmire, we are committed to keeping children safe when using the Internet. To do this, we endeavour to take every opportunity to promote Online Safety including having Online safety pupil agreements which the children sign; taking part in Safer Internet Day; displaying key safety information across the school; and equipping our children with the latest safety information during lessons and in assemblies.

However, in many cases, most of a child’s Internet usage happens away from school. Therefore, we feel it is important that parents and carers are equipped with key information which could keep themselves and their children safe online.
